For an all-round development
of the student’s persona, it is
very essential to decipher his
hidden talents and strengthen
his self-confidence.
The Institute takes interest as
well as encourages its students
to participate in the various
co-curricular activities round
the year, which include
academic as well as cultural
activities in the form of
Annual Day Celebrations by
the name of ‘Vilay’.
A variety of intra-mural and
inter-college competitions are
held that include debates,
extempore, speeches, quiz,
etc., under academic activities.
Group and solo dances, group
and solo songs, mime,
mimicry, skit, etc. are held
under cultural activities.
To rejuvenate students, the
Institute, from time to time,
organizes educational tours to
places of historic and
academic interest. Adventure
trips organized for the
students bring out and hone
their leadership skills, prepare
them to take up challenges
that life throws at them.

Sessions on technical aspects,
seminars, discussions, and
workshops are a regular
feature of the IPS Group. All
these expose the students to
the latest updates in their

| Placement Cell |
Training & Placement Cell is
an integral part of the
Institute. The Institute has
provided complete
infrastructure for effective
functioning of the Cell.
The Cell is managed by Head-
Training and Placement, a
professional with a
commendable experience in
the industry and academics.
Prof. Abraham Koshy,
professor of Marketing, IIMA;
Brig. (Retd.) Xerxes P.
Adrianwalla, GM-Land
Systems, Mahindra and
Mahindra; Mr. Sharu
Rangnekar, management
expert; Mr.M.C. Jacob,
General Manager, State Bank
of Indore; etc. are few of the
eminent personalities who
visited our campus in the
current academic year. MNCs
like Microsoft, too have
conducted Campus Connect
Programs at the Institute.
Training activities are
organized throughout the year
in an effort towards preparing
the prospective students for
the campus selection
programs.
The Training and Placement
Cell is sensitized to function
all through the year towards
generating placement and
training opportunities for the
students. It strives to conduct
Campus Connect Programs
for the benefit of the students
by coordinating with the
industry.
The first batch of bachelor of
Pharmacy students will
graduate this year, and already
well-known companies like Eli
Lilly & Company (India) Pvt.
Ltd., Dey’s Medical, Allentis
Pharmaceuticals, etc. have
conducted on-campus
recruitment drives. |

| Anti-Ragging Squad |
| In keeping with the objective
of preserving a congenial
atmosphere, an Anti-ragging
Squad comprising of the
representatives of faculty from
various colleges is in
operation. The students are
encouraged to extend a warm
welcome to their juniors by
providing a platform to mingle
with each other in the form of
fun fairs and get-togethers. |

| Deciplinary Committee |
| Much emphasis is given to the
maintenance of discipline in
the campus. As such a Disciplinary
Committee has been
constituted with faculty
members from different
colleges, which periodically
reviews the various issues
related to the students’
discipline. This committee
discourages student
indiscipline, and ensures that a
learner-friendly environment is
maintained in the campus. |

| Student's Welfare Cell |
| A cell headed by the Dean-Student Welfare, has been
constituted with
representatives from the
faculty and student
community to take care of
students’ welfare. The cell
conducts regular counseling
sessions for students in need
of personal and academic
guidance. |

| General Administration |
The duly constituted
governing body is the
supreme policy-making
agency of the Institute.
A Central Administrative
Office headed by the
Director, assisted by the
Chief Administrative
Officer and Assistant
Director along with other
support staff ensures the
smooth and efficient
running of the Institute.
The Principal, who is the
head of the individual
college, executes the
decisions of the governing
body.
There is an Academic
Council attached to each
college, which periodically
reviews the progress of
academic activities, and
offers suggestions to
improve its functioning. |
- As per the university
norms, 75% attendance
both in theory and practical
classes is compulsory for all
students.
- The students are required
to be in their prescribed
uniform in the campus.
- All students must carry
their identity cards in the
Institute premises.
- The students are expected
to conform to the Code of
Conduct issued by the
Institute, a copy of which is
available with the
prospectus.
- The Institute insists on
maintaining a high standard
of discipline among the
students.
- Tuition fee can be
deposited in two
installments, with the
permission of the
competent authority.
- University examination fee
and other fees will be
charged as per University
rules.
- Hostel accommodation for
boys from other courses
will be available on a ‘first
come, first served’ basis.
- Hostel and mess fee should
be paid in one installment,
at the time of admission.
Hostel fee is charged for
ten months in an academic
year, taking vacations into
account.
- Once admission is granted
in the college and/hostel
after payment of requisite
fee, the same shall not be
refunded, under any
circumstances.
- Hostel mess will remain
closed during vacations.
- Hostellers shall follow the
hostel rules which are
available with the hostel
admission form.
- Consuming liquor or drugs,
smoking, and chewing
tobacco are strictly
prohibited in the campus.
- The management will have
the right to take action if
any student found violating
this rule.
- Any kind of loss or damage
to the property of the
Institute shall be recovered
from the students in the form of fine.
- Ragging is strictly
prohibited in the campus.
