Biography: Dr. Sriman is currently the chairman of DST-TIFAC, Vision 2035 document on Habitat, Bureau of Indian Standard (BIS) committee on Thermal Insulation (CHD 27), Bureau of Indian Standard (BIS) committee on Sustainability issues, Curricula Development Committee, BPUT, Orissa. He has patents in his name such as ‘Three dimensional deformometer – for measurement of displacement response of masonry prisms along three axes’ – 0324NF2014, Feb17, 2015 and ‘A room temperature cured flyash based geopolymer composition for concrete and building materials and a process for manufacturing the same’ – 0194NF2014, Nov.20, 2014. Recently he has submitted a patent on ‘Anti termite barrier for buildings’. He has guided already 16 Ph.D. scholars and 7 are in progress. He has published a plenty of national and international research papers. A wide number of sponsored and consultancy projects he has completed. His areas of research are Sustainable Building Material; Fluid-Structure Interactions; Structural Health Monitoring; FRP-Concrete composite systems; Structural Restoration; Numerical Modelling. He is the member of Board of Governors, IIT Patna, Project Advisory Committee, Civil & Mechanical Engg., SERB, DST, Council, Institute of Steel Development & growth (INSDAG), DST-TIFAC Vision 2035 document on Infrastructure, Sectional Committee, Indian National Academy of Engineering, Educational Sub-Committee, Indian National Academy of Engineering, Committee for selection of Young Engineers Award, INAE, Board of Studies in Civil Engineering, GITAM, Vishakahapatnam, As Chancellor’s Nominee in selection committee for Aliah University, Kolkata, Research Council, Central Road Research Institute, N.
