Biography: Professor Echempati has more than 3 decades of academic and industrial consulting experience in the mechanical engineering areas of design, vibrations, mechanisms, FEA, sheet metal and other manufacturing operations, and automotive lightweighting technologies. He is a registered (licensed) professional engineer in the state of Mississippi. He has advanced degrees in mechanical engineering besides a masters in engineering management. The skills gained through his academic and consulting experiences can be used for the benefit and growth of our college and the university. Dr. Raghu maintains very good health by being physically active. He established several undergrad and grad study exchange programs mostly in Germany and India. He served as a member of graduate admissions committee at his previous university (GMI/Kettering). He is an active member of ASME, SAE and ASEE and serves in different capacities in these professional organizations. He is a panel member on NSF, DOE and other international organizations and conferences of repute. He has published over 160 articleas and papers in conferences and journals of repute. While at Kettering, he served as a faculty intern at Bosch, GM and Chrysler (now FCA). He also taught as a guest professor in Germany at HTWG-Konstanz and Wiesbaden, and at the IITs in India.
