Department of Education came into existence in July, 2005 under the aegis of Institute of Professional Studies with an objective to take up teacher education as a challenge in the present scenario and started one year B.Ed. programme with the intake of 100 students after seeking the NOC from Higher Education Department, Govt. of Madhya Pradesh and recognition from National Council of Teacher Education. As per NCTE revised norms in 2014, our institute now run two years B.Ed. course with an intake of 50 students. The M.Ed course, with intake of 50 students, was added in 2017. Jiwaji University has also approved research centre in the department which is fully equipped with all resources.

It is affiliated to Jiwaji University, Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, India. Department of Education has also been assigned the Study Centre of IGNOU, New Delhi for B.Ed. programme (distance mode) since 2009.

Since then the Dept. of Education is trying its best to produce teachers and researchers embodied with cultural traditions of our society and also modern enough to keep pace with changing times. We prepare teachers who have a command of a variety of teaching methods and approaches, and who intend to serve the society by rendering their selfless service to shape the future of tomorrow.

Our aim is to equip teachers with the knowledge, attitudes, behaviors and skills they require to perform their tasks effectively in the school and classroom.
