Theatre Group

Theatre is one of the most exquisite of all the arts concerned with the study of humanity. For those who have experienced the thrill of being on stage or performing in any capacity in front of an audience, needn't be convinced about the magic that is theatre. However, many of us have remained deprived of this pleasure owing to different reasons.

To help students groom their personality through this excellent performing art, IPS has set up a Theatre Group comprising the students of all streams and all years. This group organizes theatre workshops, movie workshops, produces plays and stages them. A skit competition on the theme of "Generation Gap" was conducted by the club for the students of various departments of engineering.

A very renowned art director and actor Mr. Shirish Dobhal, who is an alumnus of National School of Drama (NSD) was called to train students and direct plays. Recently the plays staged by him in the campus were:

  • The Trial of Rosali Prudent
  • The Anniversary
  • Andher Nagari Chaupat Raja
