HOD's Message
I feel proud & ecstatic to introduce you to the Department of Mechanical Engineering, which is the foundation of Engineers. The Department of Mechanical Engineering strives for increasing the knowledge, enhancing the critical thinking, ability to change information into knowledge and power of analyzing the things technically in ever changing society.
The laboratories of the department are well equipped including state of art equipments like CNC M/C, Robotic Arm, CAD/CAM software etc not only to cover complete syllabus but to motivate students to learn beyond the syllabus which definitely develops complete knowledge of the subject (both the practical and theoretical) and develop skill sets of students to become promising engineers in future. Department has also established SAE INDIA COLLEGIATE CLUB to provide the platform to the students to share their views. Students of different engineering fields can also be part of this club. SAE is an international organization for mobility engineering with fields including Automobile, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics and Computer Science. The students are also encouraged to participate in various technical and non technical extra-curricular events. They have brought laurels to the Department by winning various competitions and being selected in various national and multinational companies.
The Department organizes Seminars, workshops and Guest Lectures with the help of renowned resource persons drawn from academia and industry in every semester. The department has very good Industry-Institute interaction and organizes.
Industrial Visits periodically to provide the students an opportunity to interact with working professionals in the industry. Innovative Classes like C3M (Concept Campus and Competition Mentoring) Classes are organized for propelling them in the competitive world. Students are also encouraged to take real time Project in Industry and also motivate them to entrepreneurial activities.
The department has well qualified and dedicated faculty members to provide proper guidance and good technical support to the students.
The department has a vision to become a centre of excellence in the field of Mechanical Engineering. Our faculty members and students are dedicated to achieve this goal with enthusiasm and good ethical values.
